 The way we should be traveling

삼천리 금수강산에 무궁화 피었다.

무궁화 꽃이 피었다.  

 

피고 지고 또 피고 지고

우리는 그렇게 걸어 왔다.

The roses of Sharon bloomed in the land of golden beauty.

Rose of Sharon bloomed

Bloomed and faded, fell and bloomed again

We walked in that manner [P5]

 

무궁화 피는 곳에 희망이 있고

무궁화 지는 곳에 절망이 있어 

 

하염없이 무궁화 꽃 피워

우리의 길을 가야 한다.

There is hope where the rose of Sharon blooms

There is frustration the place of falling the flower

We have to walk our road

With the full blooming of the flower

 

자손만대 물려 줄 우리 땅!

태극 깃발 휘날리는 우리 땅에서 

파아란 지구위에 태극기를 꽂고

 

가꾸고 다듬은 희망의 꽃씨를

세계 만방으로 날려 보내자~~~

Our very land for our descendants in our land for the joy

of dancing Taegeuk Ki (flag of our country)

We then, erect the Taegeuk Ki on the green earth

for the cultivated and handled seed of hope there

Let it be spread over all the corners of the world~~~
